Exposed – Landscape Photography

I received this image in Raven Rock State Park, near Lillington, North Carolina.  I always enjoy going to this park, I have been going there since I was very young as my mom grew up not too far from there.

After you make your way to the Cape Fear River and go down stairs along the rock face, you come to this sight.  It has been there as long as I can remember.  These trees growing out of the rocks, with their roots exposed.

It makes me think, what things are we trying to keep hidden, but keep getting pushed to the surface?

What do you feel?
