Exciting News – Hold on to Your Hats
As this year comes to an end, (Well, already over into the new year) I’ve been thinking about how busy it’s been and how much has been accomplished. It’s been a year full of learning, building, and making progress on so many fronts.
Really, just in the past month of December, I’ve been diving into Fusion 360 and getting the hang of my resin 3D printer. Both have been incredible tools that have taken my designs to the next level. The process of figuring things out and experimenting has been just as rewarding as the finished projects.
On the software side, a big highlight has been renaming my Core MCU framework to the uCore Engine. This change goes beyond the name; it’s the result of a major rewrite that combines 8-bit devices into a single system. Instead of juggling separate frameworks for PIC16F and PIC18F microcontrollers, I’ve brought them together into one streamlined setup. It’s a huge improvement that sets the stage for even bigger things ahead.
For the model train projects, there’s been a lot happening. I’ve been working on a dual-output effects module and another module for controlling RGB LEDs. Both are coming along nicely, and I’m excited to see how they’ll enhance the creative possibilities for model train setups.
I’ve also renamed the levels for the model train product line to Maker, Craftsman, and Master Builder. These new names better reflect the range of skills and goals they’re designed for, from beginners to advanced users tackling complex projects.
Looking ahead, I’m excited about what’s next. Every project feels like a step forward, not just in what’s possible technically but also in how I can share these ideas with others who share the same passions.
Here’s to a new year full of creativity, challenges, and accomplishments. Thanks for being part of this journey, and I can’t wait to see what we can achieve together in the year to come!
